On my LinkedIn, there was something called 'The pose cycle challenge' (by an animator who currently works at NetEase Games, Adam Turnbull) that went on for a year. I was able to participate for a few of the months. The reason I started doing it was because it was fun, and it helped learn more fluid and natural movement when it comes to animating characters.
I participated in this challenge from February all the way to July. The last one I did for the challenge didn't make it through, probably because mine was too quick and I rushed it. The one above is the one I did for May in 2025.
The issues I've faced when doing this month's pose was that I wanted to add the character balancing on a toy car while moving. The car didn't move at the same pace the character did, but that before I added an empty to the scene and started over, and it took me about nearly an hour.
It felt nice being open to do different things - feels refreshing.
