This and many shorts like this are based on the web show The Amazing Digital Circus on YouTube. My version received 57,000 views on YouTube.
I was always been a fan of the original show, the excessive animation, the amazing characters, and humour. So as a way to send gratitude to the show and the creators as a whole, I created a series of animations involving the environment and characters, trying to replicate the over the top, and crazy animation as much as I can.
And this was more of a test to see if I could match one of the characters very frantic movement whilst keeping a clear silhouette and while also not doing too much movement, overwise it'll look off. I only did the animation, I did not create the rigs nor the environment, the characters rigs were found on a Gumroad by somebody called Zayjax. The environments were made by somebody called Blueambience throughout different socials.
The issues I did have when making these series of shorts every time was replicating the poses to have a clear silhouette to read the characters posing. And since I only used the free open source program, Blender, instead of Autodesk Maya, for the animation, and Unreal engine for rendering, the differences does stand out when it comes to detail, that's why it's really important to match it very closely.
