After seeing Spider-Man - Across the Spider-verse and it's main antagonist The Spot and I've always been so mesmerized by near to the end where his designs becomes distorted and ends up having a monster-like design. The design and the terrific use of colours and the rough sketches that jitter like in a horror movie has inspired me to draw this character. So after I watched that scene and seeing so much concept art from the movie, I thought about giving it a try.
The problems however, are me trying to get to a point where it looks like it does in the movie. And quite frankly, I did not know how I could possibly do a studio level look in 2D just by using my phone.
The lucky thing however, is that most people that worked on Across the spider-verse does paint strokes, squiggles, sketches, anything to look drawn on like an actual comic book. So that's I decided get a halftone and comic lines brush pack for free to use on Procreate to see if I can replicate it now.
